Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operator Shear Machinery to cut sheet metal according to provided specifications
- Set up and adjust shear machinery settings to ensure accurate cutting dimensions and angles.
- Inspect materials before and after cutting to verify quality and accuracy of cuts and adjust as necessary.
- Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
- Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
- Test finished products for defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular cleaning and lubrication of shear machinery.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work for yourself and your colleagues.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Education
- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred; not required
- Previous experience operating shear machinery or similar equipment preferred.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical specifications and drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- No experience is required, but the successful candidates must have the mechanical aptitude to manufacture parts with high quality.
