Job Title: Node.js Developer

Location: Chicago, IL-Need Local Only

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement server-side applications using Node.js and related frameworks.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Develop APIs and RESTful services for internal and external use.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Ensure security and data protection best practices.

• Troubleshoot and debug applications.

• Maintain and optimize performance of applications and databases.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in back-end development.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Node.js Developer or similar role.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript (optional but preferred).

• In-depth knowledge of Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Koa.

• Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or Vue is a plus).

• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL is a plus.

• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and deployment on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Understanding of version control tools such as Git.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
