What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Maintenance Supervisor position at Amris Consulting?
This role is intended to provide first line leadership for the Production Maintenance team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This is a working leadership position and is expected to contribute to the maintenance activities in the production area at least 70% of the time and perform administrative tasks in the office 30% of the time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Plan, administer, and monitor progress for all Maintenance activities, including Preventive Maintenance, Corrective, & Urgent Maintenance workflow and activities in the current CMMS program (eMaint).
· Oversight of special projects including planning, contract management, vendor performance, and testing.
· Provide input on ways to manage the cost of maintenance and optimize department maintenance execution as well as manage use of outside contractors.
· Provide hands-on leadership of the Maintenance team daily and project activities to ensure efficiency and productivity of the Production Maintenance team.
· Provide mentoring and coaching for Maintenance team, as well as participation in Training activities, to promote professional development of the department. Conduct periodic performance reviews with direct reports.
· Communicate status of work in progress, as well as provide frequent updates to Maintenance Manager and site on emergent issues.
· Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
· Demonstrate leadership skills as well as positive influence in safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and people development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirement-
· High School Diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
Work Experience-
· 5 years in a Production Maintenance role
· Experience with operating equipment in Utilities such as boilers, water treatment equipment, air system components.
· Experience with troubleshooting and repair of Production mechanical equipment such as conveyors, fans, valves, and pumps.
· Experience in troubleshooting electrical issues such as VFD failures, breaker failures, wiring issues.
· 2 years in a leadership role in Maintenance, providing direct supervision of hourly employees.
· Experience working in an Aseptic environment with the ability to obtain gowning certification.

Physical Requirements-
· Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, performing monitoring or administrative activities.
· Ability to walk around the plant to include ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
· Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to pass visual acuity test.
· Ability to wear respirator as required for entry into Aseptic areas.
Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
