What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Engineering Technician position at ams AG Gr?
We are seeking a technician to join our specialized team responsible for qualifying and establishing new products and/or processes in production that are used for LED applications.
This position will be in the Exeter, NH location, which is the center of excellence for ceramic, glass and composite components within ams-OSRAM. Those who join this operation will be involved with state-of-the-art materials and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting project leaders in advancing new products and/or processes projects towards qualification
- Participating in cross-functional teams to move through the APQP and Gate Structures for qualification
- Working with team members to conduct trials, prepare samples, assemble data
- Troubleshooting process and analysis equipment as needed
Requirements:
- Associates degree in an Engineering field
- ~2 years engineering experience in industry
- ~ Competence in use of MS applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- ~ Understanding and experience in using core tools of 6-sigma to analyze data
- ~ Handling of large numbers of parts in complex tests
- Processing of ceramic, glass, or polymer materials, particularly for optical applications
