Job Title: Manager Ortho Neuro Med-Surg RN

Job Summary:
The Manager of Ortho Neuro Med-Surg RN provides leadership and operational oversight for a 30-bed orthopedic and neuroscience medical-surgical unit. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, efficient unit operations, and compliance with regulatory standards. Reporting to the Director of Medical-Surgical Services, the Manager works closely with interdisciplinary teams, supervisors, and front-line staff to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain 24-hour accountability for the unit's operations, ensuring effective management of staff and resources.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with organizational policies and external regulatory guidelines to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to nursing staff, promoting professional growth and skill development.
- Manage operational and capital budgets, monitoring expenditures to achieve financial objectives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and improve care delivery processes.
- Perform regular rounding on patients and staff to ensure needs are anticipated and resolved proactively.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new staff, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives to drive quality metrics and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including infection control and patient safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice or Compact State licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in a Med-Surg Neuro/Ortho setting.
- Strong knowledge of clinical best practices and hospital metrics, with proven experience achieving quality and operational goals.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $75,750 - $113,625 annually, based on experience.
- Sign-on and relocation bonuses considered on a case-by-case basis.
