Job Title: RN Nurse Manager – Children’s Services
Schedule: Full-time * Days (Rotating Weekends)
Job Summary:
The RN Nurse Manager – Children’s Services is responsible for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to pediatric patients. This role requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and scientific judgment in managing patient care. The Nurse Manager ensures compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and nursing staff within the Pediatric, PICU, and NICU units.
- Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care through the development and implementation of nursing best practices.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing teams, fostering professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and administrative teams to enhance patient care services.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives.
- Monitor patient care metrics and implement improvement plans as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current Florida RN license or recognized Compact Licensure.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience in PICU, Pediatrics, or Children’s Services.
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Coordinator, Supervisor, or Managerial role).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
- STABLE certification (must obtain within 60 months of hire).
- Strong background in pediatric nursing required.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $42.36 - $62.50 per hour (based on experience).
- Sign-on bonus available on a case-by-case basis.
