We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Reality Capture Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Design, this position will perform laser scanning, 360 photogrammetry, and data processing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and reality capture technologies, with a passion for innovation in the MEP industry.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct laser scanning and 360 photogrammetry at project sites to capture accurate as-built data.
- Process and manage collected data to create 3D models, point clouds, and other deliverables using specialized software.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate reality capture data into design and construction workflows.
- Perform quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of captured and processed data.
- Plan and execute site visits while adhering to safety protocols, including physical activity such as walking, climbing, or lifting equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot reality capture equipment, including laser scanners and cameras.
- Support the development of innovative workflows for leveraging reality capture in MEP projects.
- Assist in the management and administration of Robotic Total Stations.
- Support the Design Group with design and fabrication assistance.
