We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Supervisor to lead our dietary department in providing high-quality food services. This role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and supervising kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate food preparation activities, including menu planning and inventory management.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with dietary guidelines and regulations, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Assist in the development of catering services for special events, ensuring quality and presentation meet expectations.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet the dietary needs of residents or clients effectively.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Participate in various committees and State Survey process.
- Complete required admission and ongoing assessments per the MDS schedule.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the dietary department or related field.
- Strong background in food preparation, long term care, or hospitality management.
- Knowledge of dietary regulations and best practices in food service operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, residents, and other departments.
- ServSafe certification preferred
