Vin Baker Recovery is seeking to add a part time Nurse Practitioner approximately 12 - 14 hours per week with flexibility on days/hours. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the overall care of all patients of assigned clinic under supervision of Medical Director.
Nurse Practitioner Overview
Vin Baker Recovery offers medication-assisted treatment, or MAT, to adults aged 18 and older of all genders. MAT, which combines prescription medication with counseling, is an evidence-based service that has been used successfully for treating individuals suffering from opioid use disorder. Medication helps ease the symptoms of opioid withdrawal, while counseling helps patients make the lifestyle changes that will allow them to achieve successful long-term recovery from opioid use disorder.
Nurse Practitioner Essential Functions
- Nurse Practitioner to provide medical evaluations and treatment of patients at facility under the supervision of the Medical Director and work collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff .
- Nurse Practitioner responsible for securing physical exam and history from the patient, reviewing medical records, making medical evaluations, request appropriate diagnostic testing, prescribes medications and treatments, assists in the management of behavioral or mental health problems of patients, maintains current medical records in accordance with federal or state regulation, and clinic or corporate policies and procedures; and,
- Nurse Practitioner exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism, and empathy to all patients
- Nurse Practitioner evaluates lab results and consults with Medical Director/Supervising Physician regarding abnormal findings
Nurse Practitioner Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant able to practice in the state of WI
- Advanced nursing knowledge and clinical skills through an appropriate educational program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing nurse practitioner
- DEA License Schedule 2 and 3
- Willingness and ability to get X-Waiver
- Ability to work early hours to meet the needs of our clients
- Prefer previous experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment
