Our client, an AM Law 100 firm, is looking to hire a Revenue Manager at their offices in New York City. This is a full time, direct hire role paying an annual salary of $150K to $170K plus a bonus and excellent benefits package. The position will allow for remote work two days a week.
The Revenue Manager is a member of a team responsible for managing inventory balances and exposure, enforcing firm policies, and generating comprehensive reports and analyses. This role requires close collaboration with billing and collections teams, as well as working directly with partners to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments. Additionally, the Revenue Manager will identify opportunities for matter management and inventory process improvements, and address inquiries and resolve invoicing disputes and issues.

Responsibilities
Revenue Management and Reporting:
- Manage inventory balances and exposure to minimize financial risks.
- Enforce firm policies related to revenue management.
- Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports.
- Prepare detailed billing and collections forecasts to guide the firm’s financial planning.
- Provide clients with accrual reporting in cooperation with the billing team
- Collaborate with billing and collections teams to streamline processes and ensure efficiency.
- Monitor billing cycles and ensure timely generation and collection of invoices.
- Implement best practices for collections to maximize cash flow and reduce outstanding balances.
- Work closely with partners to provide regular updates on their billing status and address any concerns promptly.
- Identify and implement matter management and billing process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Address client inquiries regarding invoices and resolve any billing disputes or issues.
- Ensure all invoicing practices comply with client and firm requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate effective communication and resolution of billing issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years Big 4 or revenue management experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Excel; experience with legal billing software (e.g. Aderant, Elite) preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
