Practical Nurse Job Summary
We are seeking a Practical Nurse who will provide direct patient care to individuals of all ages in our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, following established standards and procedures. This position will also collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Practical Nurse Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Administer injections as ordered by the physician
- Observe, record, and report changes in patient’s condition
- Follow and implement doctor’s orders and document progress notes
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes and health maintenance
- Educate patients on self-care and home safety
Practical Nurse Requirements and Qualifications
- Current Practical Nurse license
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Practical Nurse
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing procedures
- Able to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
