Overview:
At AmSafe Bridport you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability. Your expertise will drive the development and implementation of quality management systems, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and regulations. You will lead a team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality, enhancing customer satisfaction, and continuously improving our processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develops, implements, manages and integrates a QMS that complies with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and approved specifications and recommendations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reports on performance, measuring against set indicators.
- Examine the quality control processes to find areas for improvement and implement robust solutions.
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation, including AS9100, and any relevant aerospace authority regulations.
- Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, including providing necessary documentation and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer complaints regarding quality, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Stay abreast of advancements in quality management technologies and aerospace manufacturing techniques.
- Manages quality department personnel, provide tools and training necessary for success, and establish goals and objectives for growth.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., engineering, production, supply chain, etc.) in the design and planning of quality improvement projects and initiatives including the identification of best practices and areas for improvement; recommend and support approach for implementation.
- In coordination with purchasing, monitors vendor performance and establishes supplier quality requirements, including on-site and paper audits as necessary
- All other reasonable duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality management roles within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance standards AS9100
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- FAA Part 145 Repair Station (Preferred)

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Proactive in identifying potential issues and diligent in resolving them.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
