What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Lab Technician position at AMSOIL INC?
AMSOIL INC. is hiring a Mechanical Lab Technician to assist with setup and monitoring engine oil dynamometer testing. This includes disassembly/assembly of test equipment and related components, collecting test data, and maintaining the facility and test equipment. This position has a work schedule of Monday - Friday 2:30PM-10:30PM and reports onsite to our AMSOIL Center located in Superior, Wisconsin.
Core Responsibilities:
- Mechanically support a wide variety of 2 and 4 stroke engine and chassis dynamometer testing with a focus in powersports, small engines, and automotive
- Communicate with Test Engineers, Supervisors, and other Technicians in an engine oil testing environment
- Verify maintenance and calibration of test equipment, install instrumentation and aftermarket data acquisition systems, troubleshoot & repair
- Maintain and secure facility nightly
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of mechanical hands-on experience in automotive, power sports, diesel, or industrial maintenance.
- Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office program Excel
- Familiarity with 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines
- Able to read and comprehend technical manuals and work instructions
- Able to use DSLR camera equipment to capture high quality photographs of test parts

- Pay type: hourly
- Pay starts at $21.20/hour depending on experience plus $2.00/hour shift differential
