Cost Accountant

The Cost Accounting SAP Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of master data review and load preparation for the SAP implementation at SMW.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the master data preparation and pre-load activities as required by the SAP project implementation at SMW.
• Assists in the review of material, customer and vendor master's to ensure data integrity across the complete order to cash process. The position works closely with the BPOs (Business Process Owners) and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) for FICO, SD, PP and MM teams to ensure proper set-up in SAP.
• Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of new processes and/or enhancements to the systems that support master data.
• Perform root-cause analysis on master data integration problems. Recommends and executes corrective action.
• Works closely with the business/IT to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements.
• Analyze SMW product cost estimates for existing and new products, including Brake Pistons utilizing Piston Pin manufacturing resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

• CPA is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and must be able to communicate financial information and models in a concise and easy comprehensible manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• MBA is strongly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP or similar software packages.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills.
