Description
This position will be responsible for implementing project in support of site targets and continuous improvement in the manufacturing processes. As a Maintenance Technician will be capable of completing projects requiring multi-disciplinary skillset, minimal supervision, self-starter and motivated to work with others to deliver measurable results.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety standards.
- Analyze production equipment of any manufacturing process and make recommendations and plans for enhancements on equipment that will result in improved processes.
- Knowledge/experience of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a factory preferred.
- Ability to read, follow, and execute plans through CAD drawings or OEM instructions.
- Ability to communicate to supervisor and co-workers with written memos or emails that are professional, concise, and clearly understood.
- Knowledge/experience operating manufacturing fabrication equipment such as a drill press, milling machine, lathe, grinder, band saw, plasma cutter, welder, etc.
- Support and analyze present tooling and make recommendations to replace or rebuild such tooling with other types of materials to improve or prolong tool life.
- Work from verbal instructions, sketches, blueprints, machine manuals and worn or broken parts to determine size, shape, configuration, etc. of needed parts or enhancements.
- Support design, development, and engineering on machine tools and fixtures and related items for plant improvement projects.
- Must be able to work and act in a professional manner with all levels of associates and interface with customers as required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Three plus years manufacturing experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
- Fabricate parts, devices, fixtures, and structures using machinery, hand tools, and welding equipment.
- Assists Operations teams with problem solving.
- Available to work any shift or weekends as needed.
- Train mechanics/technicians on lessons learned and process improvements.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, & Outlook.
- Individual must be a “Team Player” that can work in an environment with multiple changing priorities.
- Support equipment launch efforts for new product, product extensions and processes into the plant.
