Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory settings and possess mechanical knowledge to ensure efficient production processes. This role involves supervising manufacturing activities, managing a team, and ensuring that all safety and quality standards are met within the manufacturing facility.
Duties
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
- Direct supervision of all production employees in the assigned area(s), including job assignments, adherence to master schedule, tracking of time off, meeting production rates and efficiencies, meeting quality standards and meeting customer delivery dates, discipline, and training
- Monitor operations, identifying areas for improvement in productivity and quality.
- Train new employees on safety protocols, equipment operation, procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe working environment.
- Responsible for the safety of assigned workers and area including full investigation of accidents and near misses.
- Manage inventory levels of materials and supplies needed for production.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any production issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to upper management.
- Assist with inventory control cycle counts.
Requirements
- Minimum H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years related manufacturing experience.
- 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
Physical requirements
Must have full range of body motion. Certain operations require repetitive bending, squatting, and full arm extension. Manual lifting, not exceeding fifty (50) pounds may be required. Able to visit various manufacturing environments.
