What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Amsterdam Cafe?
We are a high volume, local restaurant that serves high quality food in a casual atmosphere and strive to provide excellent service to all that enter our doors.
The Sous Chef is responsible for day-to-day culinary operations in a professional kitchen, maintenance of quality standards, as well as supervises storage, stocking, and sanitation procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Quality control of food leaving the kitchen
- Assist with daily specials
- Assist with menu item creation
- Assist in management and training of new personnel
- Assist with scheduling and performance reviews
- Keep up to date with new products and preparation techniques
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, similar style restaurant preferred
- Positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
