POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently searching for a Full Time Endoscopy Scope Reprocessing Technician to work Monday – Friday (Wednesday flexible) who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include: cleaning procedure rooms; assisting physicians; processing scopes; restocking and changing over rooms; performing housekeeping duties and assisting in maintenance of all supplies.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform safety checks to verify proper equipment function.
- Maintain inventories of endoscopic equipment and supplies.
- Ensure appropriate and safe storage of endoscopes and associated equipment.
- Maintain legible and accurate records of all endoscopes processed for audit purposes.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Handling of body fluids, tissue per CDC guidelines with appropriate PPE.
The job involves a large amount of time spent walking, standing, and routine lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. We have a fun and close-knit staff and the physicians are great to work with.
Education/Experience:
Experience or background in Endoscopy, central processing, or aseptic technique preferred but not necessary.
You must possess a HS school diploma/GED and a BLS certification.
