Paid Time Off:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Process Engineer will oversee the design, development, and implementation of our IT departmental and company processes. The IT Process Engineer develops and implements process strategies, manages process resources, optimizes current processes, and maintains process documents to reduce costs and create increased productivity and efficiency for the IT department and company. This position will work closely with key IT and business leaders, the enterprise architect, and the data and solution architects to build efficient and sustainable processes.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a remote position allowing the IT Process Engineer to be based anywhere within the contiguous United States.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage key business stakeholders to identify business and technology-enabled process efficiency opportunities that progress business strategy.
- Leverage process improvement and engineering best practices to build and update processes aligned with strategies and operations.
- Construct deliverables that demonstrate how to improve processes and move the business toward realizing its strategic goals and targeted business outcomes.
- Assess near-term and long-term needs to help establish business and IT process priorities.
- Utilize a toolbox of process improvement and engineering deliverables to build new processes and optimize existing processes.
- Work collaboratively with business and IT executives to help describe and understand business and IT process impacts and interconnectivity.
- Ensure the business and operating processes align by documenting the interdependences between components, and that the business process makes sense.
- Research and provide information on emerging technology trends that impact process optimization (i.e., automation, artificial intelligence, data and analytics, etc.).
- Provide internal stakeholders professional process flow diagrams, value stream maps, and other key process-related documentation.
- Facilitate development of business capabilities and solutions that combine knowledge across business lines and processes.
- Consult with technical subject matter experts to develop technical process solutions. Advise on options, risks, costs and benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
- Collaborate with the IT and enterprise program management office on benefits, issues, risks of initiatives and reporting project status.
- Collaborate with infrastructure modernization and project teams to ensure continuous delivery of business outcomes, as well as to identify when it is necessary to evolve the process architecture.
- Work in alignment with the Enterprise Architect to help discover and develop future state roadmaps.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, engineering, or related discipline, or an equivalent degree; M.B.A. preferred.
- Four or more years of business or IT experience with direct responsibility for overseeing and executing a wide range of process improvements and new process design efforts.
- Strong organizational and talent development skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with teams and customers, especially at the Executive-sponsor level.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Great communication skills with established and professional communication, presentation, and motivational skills.
- Familiar with best practices in process design, development, and implementation.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt minimum; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings on occasion. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
