What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at AMSURG, LLC?

Launched in 1992 as an ASC industry pioneer, AMSURG is currently partnered with nearly 2,000 specialty physicians providing outpatient surgical services in more than 250 facilities in 34 states.
We are currently searching for a FT Receptionist, to work Monday-Friday, who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Key responsibilities include welcoming patients and visitors, collecting patient identification cards and insurance information, updating patient accounts, collecting copayments and deductibles, recording payments in the billing system and other administrative duties; must have ability to multi-task. May be cross-trained to assist with medical records, as well. Also seeking a second PT receptionist, as well.
You must possess a high school diploma or GED, one year of experience (preferably in an Ambulatory Surgery Center), experience in Endoscopy/Multi-specialty/ Ophthalmology/ ASC, ability to speak and understand the English language, strong ethical and moral character references, and excellent telephone and basic computer skills. We will consider someone with no relevant experience, if they are a strong enough candidate.
