POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently searching for a Surgical Technician available to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively in the OR and GI Lab with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Verify operations of the equipment to ensure in good working order. Assist with position and preparation of the patient.
- Prepare surgical suite with instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Hand instruments to the surgeon during procedures. Account for number and location of instruments and supplies.
- Receive and process specimens
- Sterile processing of equipment
- Assist with supply inventory
Requirements:
- Minimum Experience: graduate of a Surgical Tech program or 6 months of surgical tech experience.
- State Surgical Tech registration
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex and at times stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
The pay range for this position is up to $24.04 / hour dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
