Job Summary :
The Data Center Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize data center hardware and infrastructure, ensuring server, storage, and network systems are operating efficiently. This role includes hardware installations, cabling, system monitoring, and troubleshooting to support mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain the data center's server hardware, network devices, and storage systems .
- Perform rack and stack installations, cable management, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Monitor server performance, network connectivity, and power usage , ensuring optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures, network issues, and system alerts , escalating as necessary.
- Perform regular hardware maintenance, firmware upgrades, and equipment testing .
- Work with cloud, hybrid, and virtualization technologies to support business continuity.
- Maintain inventory of data center assets , including servers, network devices, and cabling.
- Ensure compliance with data center security policies and procedures .
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
