At AMT Engineering, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Construction Inspector to join our team. This role will be instrumental in supporting projects throughout the VDOT Fredericksburg District and surrounding areas of Northern Neck and Saluda Residencies.
We are looking for an experienced candidate with a valid driver's license, who is available for overtime and willing to work nights and weekends as needed. As part of this team, you will be immersed in a culture reflective of a smaller firm while providing the resources and technical strength of a larger company.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying all work performed is in accordance with plans and contractual specifications. You will also act as a liaison between VDOT and prime contractor, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.
- Verification of quantities, dimensions, and specifications.
- Measurement and verification of work performed.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 5 years of transportation construction experience, ideally within the State of Virginia.
- VDOT Level II, III, or IV certification (strongly preferred).
- Candidates without certification but fulfilling certification requirements may be considered.
