AMT Inc. – a leading manufacturer of Precision Investment Castings – has an immediate opening for a Foundry Operator position in our Sharon Springs, NY facility.
The position is full-time hourly on our day shift. The job requires working in our metalcasting department working with melt furnaces, preheat ovens, and working as part of team filling molds with molten metal. Additional duties may include sandblasting, cutting castings from the mold, and mold material removal processes using vibratory or waterblast equipment. Candidates must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Investment casting experience is not required; however, anyone with a background with hand tools, metal working, manufacturing, and operations is encouraged to apply. Paid training is provided for all employees.

Responsibilities
- Reporting to and performing tasks as assigned by department supervisor
- Basic operation of melting equipment, hand tools, and general manufacturing equipment
- Adherence to all company standards of conduct including safety standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work as a team to pour metal into casting molds
Qualifications
- Outstanding work ethic and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to read and understand operating procedures and specifications with guidance from supervisor
- Ability to wear PPE including safety glasses, gloves, dust respirator, and aluminized coat and pants.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to stay focused with strong attention to detail
