AmTab – Interior Design Team Lead
AmTab is seeking an Interior Design Team Lead to join our team. AmTab is a growing designer, manufacturer and furnisher of learning environments in Bensenville IL specializing in the education industry. We strive to create inspiring and engaging educational environments. The Team Lead oversees a small team of 3-5 associate designers. Your job is to make sure projects are completed on time, maintain quality and help your team grow professionally. You will be the bridge between the design team, senior designers and management, helping to solve problems and improve how the department runs.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Training new team members and retraining current team members that are underperforming.
- Team Leads are expected to continue to complete normal projects on time.
- Complete internal projects assigned to them which include furniture updates, Trade show packages, digital material library updates, etc. These will be assigned in Click Up.
- Reviewing elevations for projects completed by members of their team and reviewing elevations for designers not on their team on an as needed basis.
- Attending midpoint meeting for projects completed by members of their team.
- Attending midpoint meeting for designers not on their team on an as needed basis.
- Attending midpoint meetings for other Team Leads on an as needed basis.
- Reviewing completed projects for members of their team and reviewing completed projects for designers not on their team on an as needed basis.
- Holding at a minimum, monthly team meeting to answer questions, go over new processes and address any concerns of the designers on their team.
- Holding one on one meetings with designers to touch base and address any concerns regarding performance or anything else.
- Sending 2 week follow ups for design packages completed by themselves and members of their team on Friday of the week.
- Sending 3 projects completed by themselves or members of their team to the quote team on each Friday of the week.
- Assisting with the final review of projects if Design Managers and Senior Designers are unavailable.
- Assisting with the design team email if Design Managers and Senior Designers are unavailable.
- Completing Quarterly self-reviews and reviews of members of their team which will consist of setting goals for the quarter and year, addressing any issues regarding performance and talk about any standout projects from the quarter.
