Overall Responsibility:
Responsible for supervising maintenance staff and overseeing general building, equipment, and facilities maintenance. Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems and equipment, and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the maintenance department. Responsible for supervising the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure capability and performance targets are met through efficient downtime analysis and predictive maintenance activities.
- Ensure adequate spare parts are available; drive equipment uptime; and overall management of daily maintenance activities.
- Provide manufacturing and technical knowledge and skills to support all aspects of production ensuring profitable, on-time, quality products to customers while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
- Assist with increasing plant performance through implementation of continuous improvement projects.
- Implementation and maintenance of the Preventative Maintenance programs.
- Assist with the scheduling and implementation of changes to equipment and manage changeovers in conjunction with the Production and Engineering teams.
- Manage Preventative Maintenance for the team, report out on results monthly and highlight accomplishments and opportunities to improve.
- Repairs and Maintenance budget. Define cost reduction initiatives and implement them.
- Analyze machine downtime to find trends. Implement projects to reduce machine downtime in order to improve OEE.
- Manager work order system: create, distribute, and follow-up on work orders within the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- HMI operation and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience in steel processing, blanking, stamping, or metal forming industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)
- Experience working with AS400 systems or other relevant MRP system.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lead cross functional teams
- High degree of integrity
- Proactive in learning and development activities
- Proven ability to work with and develop people
