What You’ll Do:
As an Inventory Services Associate, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Inventory Management: Oversee consumables, chemicals, samples, and more, ensuring accurate inventory control and movement on and off-site.
Customer Service: Communicate directly with customers to fulfill requests, provide reporting, and maintain metrics.
Purchasing Support: Manage back orders, expedite shipments, handle quotes, and resolve pricing or invoice issues.
Shipping Coordination: Prepare shipping documentation, handle hazardous materials, and operate warehouse equipment.
Process Improvement: Develop programs to enhance service efficiencies and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Compliance & Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, handle hazardous materials, and ensure compliance with IATA, DOT, IMDG, and OSHA regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 2 years in material handling, inventory replenishment, or customer service.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with inventory systems like SAP, Avantor, or ChemSW.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of scientific products and services is a plus!
Certifications: Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG, and OSHA Right to Know are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
