Position : Senior TIG Welder

Shift Options :

1st Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM
2nd Shift : 3 : 30 PM – 12 : 00 AM
Swing Shift : 11 : 00 AM – 8 : 00 PM

Job Description : We are seeking highly skilled Senior TIG Welders who can perform routine to complex welds using a variety of methods and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with stainless steel and aluminum welding, as well as a strong eye for detail and precision. We’re particularly interested in welders who have experience in custom intake manifolds, automotive, or similar fields.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform a variety of welding techniques on stainless steel and aluminum alloys, following engineering specifications.

Ensure welds are clean, precise, and meet required tolerances. Attention to detail is crucial, especially when working on fuel systems and tanks.

Read and interpret product and process drawings, procedures, and weld symbols.

Assist with new product development and experimental materials under engineering guidance.

Maintain a high level of welding quality, ensuring conformance to specifications and reducing reject rates.

Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including setting up work cells, mapping, and improving product flow.

Assist and train other employees as needed.

Set up and maintain welding equipment to ensure quality and repeatability.

Perform inspections, document work, and maintain accurate records.

Required Skills & Experience :

Senior TIG Welder with extensive experience in stainless steel and aluminum welding.

Familiarity with 347 stainless steel and 4043 aluminum welding.

Ability to make “artistic” welds, as required for fuel systems and tanks.

Experience feeding wire by hand and creating clean, detailed welds.

Preferred : Technical schooling or experience with custom intake manifolds in automotive or similar industries.

Weld Test :

A weld test will be required as part of the interview process. Candidates must bring their own helmet.

Test Requirements :

1G Stainless Steel (40,000 PSI)

1G Aluminum (40,000 PSI)

2F Fillet (40,000 PSI)

Candidates must be able to pass this test.

Physical Requirements :

Regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs..

Specific vision requirements : close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and electrical shock risks.

Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Additional Responsibilities :

Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free work area.

Ensure all required certifications and qualifications are up to date.

Actively contribute to lean initiatives and provide suggestions for process improvements.

Adhere to all company policies, including safety procedures.

Pay Rate :

The final pay rate will be determined by your experience.
