Chemical Engineer

Job Summary:

This position involves managing projects related to the design and development of pyrotechnic devices for the defense-aerospace sector. Key responsibilities include product design, energetic material process development, assembly process creation, and safety analyses. The role requires collaboration with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards. Additional tasks include troubleshooting technical issues, preparing test plans and proposals, and conducting various engineering analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create product designs and assembly instructions.
• Ability to develop and consistently perform chemical processes safely
• Develop and operate energetic material processes.
• Participate in design reviews and prepare related materials.
• Conduct technical compliance reviews and support production.
• Perform engineering analyses and document findings.
• Interface with multiple stakeholders on engineering issues.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards and energetic material processing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solidworks) and production processes.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of prior engineering experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Office and lab work with occasional travel; some light lifting involved.
