What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Estimator position at Amtec Inc.?
Basic Function :
The function of a SR. Estimator is to examine plans, reports, project sites, and research costs associated with prospective jobs to create bids. He / she is the sales contact for the customer and will be the customer liaison for the bid. For the position of Underground Estimator, we are looking for a candidate that has extensive experience and a history of successful project acquisition and completion.
Qualifications :
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to effectively represent the company and communicate with others are varying technical levels.
Excellent documentation skills.
Creativity and initiative.
Sales and negotiations experience.
Computer software skills, including Bid2Win (B2W), Civil Image, Agtek, Foundation, Carlson or similar.
Ability to work independently under the supervision of the Sr. Estimator
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Underground industry as an estimator.
Must possess excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail skills.
Must be willing to travel to sites to ensure accurate site conditions for estimating purposes.
Must have a clean driving record and be approved on company insurance.
Reporting Relationship :
The Senior Estimator reports to the Business Development Manager
