Electrical Technician / Maintenance Electrician
Location : Shreveport Louisiana 71115
Shift : On Dupont schedule - Rotating schedule
Pay range : $27 - $30 an hour
General
Follow practices and procedures established for their job.
Responsible to properly operate and maintain equipment and tools related to job role.
Responsible for meeting the safety standards of his department including the use of personal protective equipment for different job tasks according to the company policies and practices. Housekeeping according to the Area Plan and after any performed job.
Works within the Quality System. Required to attend company training, safety and technical programs, when scheduled. Complying with roles, responsibilities and provisions of ones job description.
Objectives
Shifters should be responsible for executing all the corrective maintenance to keep equipment utilization at maximum capacity for production plans. Support with preventive work orders schedule on shift.
Perform all types of maintenance and repairs associated with their profession or specialty. (Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, Hydraulic, etc.).
Perform inspection and activities regarding overall Plant Maintenance Asset Conservation. Communicate detailed and accurate data regarding delays and failures.
Able to read blueprints, sketches, tables and schematics. Give supports to the reliability technical groups in all areas when opportunity and priorities are completed.
Support contract vendors with assign duties to complete outside work assignments.
Assure the necessary resources (spare parts, materials, labor, mobile equipment and construction machinery) and the implementation of services need it to perform work assignments.
Execute required maintenance duties to maintain shift operations without supervision on off shifts.
Give feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor or Leaders about operations, incidents, safety, and important follow up activities.
Ensures work order generation for every delay and maintenance emergency tasks or non-scheduled jobs in their shift.
Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Two years of technical school in electrical or electronic technology
3 to 5 years as an electric technician in an industrial company.
