The Registered Professional performs facility engineering and building evaluation services for all types of buildings, including civil, structural, or architectural systems. Prefer a strong roofing and waterproofing systems background, with an understanding of structural systems (walls, roofs, facades, and windows), as well as experience with typical issues encountered in building maintenance, repair, and replacement, and in repair / replacement design, construction monitoring, and contract administration. Registered Roofing Consultant, Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or similar designation required.
This detail-oriented individual will work to uphold the highest quality standards building enclosure design working on a variety of tasks involved in the complete building design process from Schematic Design through Construction Administration as well as collaboration with outside Consultants, Owners representatives and contractors. Tasks will include conceptualizing design ideas, defining performance criteria for appropriate roof selections, submittal / shop drawing reviews validation of roof drainage capacity calculations, definition and review of roofing, waterproofing exterior wall system mock-ups, system specification roof waterproofing, and exterior wall and window system detailing and meeting presentations.
- Supporting, performing, and managing Amtech’s existing and pending engineering and building envelope consulting projects. These projects are expected to include, but not be limited to :
o Structural engineering inspection and design
o Fall protection device testing and design
o Concrete testing and design (parking garages, balconies, pavements, building façade systems, etc.)
o Facility and property condition assessments
o Building envelope systems assessment, Roofing, Waterproofing, testing, and design
