ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a PHP Developer to join our growing technology team. This role will be pivotal in enhancing and maintaining our e-commerce and gallery platforms, optimizing internal systems, and building custom solutions to meet the unique needs of our collectors, consignors, and staff. You ll work closely with stakeholders across departments to build secure, scalable, and efficient applications.
Skills:
- 4 years of professional experience in PHP development.
- Proficiency in Laravel, Symfony, or similar modern PHP frameworks.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with MySQL (or similar relational databases).
- Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce platforms, auction systems, or digital galleries.
- Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and performance best practices.
- Knowledge of server management and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with tools like WordPress (for content management), Vue.js (for front-end), or RESTful APIs.
- Passion for or curiosity about the collectibles and numismatics space is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom web applications using PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks preferred).
- Support and enhance e-commerce features, online auctions, inventory systems, and gallery display tools.
- Work with MySQL databases to ensure reliable and optimized data storage and access.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user-facing features.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs related to payments, shipping, customer engagement, etc.
- Ensure system security and compliance with relevant data protection policies.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues, perform code reviews, and contribute to improving code quality and system architecture.
