Title/Role: X Ray/CT Technologist
Location: Bisbee, AZ
Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Perform CT Scans: Operate CT imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients’ internal structures, as requested by physicians.
Patient Care: Prepare patients for CT procedures, ensuring their comfort and explaining the process to minimize anxiety.
Positioning: Accurately position patients and the CT equipment to capture the most relevant and high-resolution images.
Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and other medical professionals to ensure the images are of the highest diagnostic quality.
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation protection standards to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of the CT scanner and other imaging equipment. Report any technical issues to the appropriate personnel.
Patient History: Obtain and review patient medical history, including any contraindications for contrast use or potential risks.
Documentation: Accurately document patient information, procedures, and images in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Quality Control: Review images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards and repeat scans if necessary.
Licensing/Certifications:
Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Certified in CT (CT) by the ARRT (or eligible).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in operating CT imaging equipment.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and radiology procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
