Live Poultry Production Manager

Salary: $110,000 $200,000 Bonus
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Live Poultry Production Manager to join our Poultry Business Unit at Smart Chicken. This key role is responsible for the overall management of our live poultry production, encompassing both company farms and contract growers. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a strong focus on optimizing production efficiency, maintaining low operating costs, and upholding the highest standards of animal welfare.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee breed mix, feed, and grow-out programs to maximize production efficiency and quality.
- Develop and implement health and nutrition programs, ensuring best practices for animal welfare and grower relations.
- Manage the Live Haul department to coordinate logistics for broiler grow-out and producer deliveries.
- Supervise the maintenance and operation of company vehicles related to Live Production.
- Analyze grower performance and mortality (DOA) statistics to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments, including feed milling, to address production challenges and improve processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Six years of experience in poultry production or a related area is preferred.
