Job Summary: Responsible for managing a complex portfolio of work that includes identifying, analyzing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, productivity and quality. The primary objective is to optimize business processes and workflows to achieve improved outcomes and reduced costs.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide reviews and feedback on work performed by junior process improvement specialists.
· Mentor/coach Process Improvement Specialists.
· Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.
· Optimize processes to deliver effective outcomes, cost savings, improved reliability and support new initiatives.
· Drive the Standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices.
· Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities throughout the enterprise, including Operations, Technical Services, Finance, IT, HR, amongst others.
· Execute and achieve process improvement objectives on schedule in a team environment. Support strategic objectives to increase productivity, improve quality, and enhance safety.
· Use of Lean and Six Sigma principles to analyze problems associated with technical issues and provide effective solutions.
· Lead process improvement projects utilizing sound project management techniques and see projects through to completion.
· Provide fact-driven root cause analysis.
· Develop Organizational Change Management (OCM) plans to implement process improvement
· Develop and maintain process training and certification documentation to ensure that operators clearly understand all position requirements.
Process Improvement Specialist
- Required skills:
- Strong process mapping and process mining skills
- Familiar with business process mapping notation (BPMN 2.0)
- Standardizing processes, writing standardized work
- Oftentimes falls into the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt bucket
- Experience with OCM (Organizational Change Management)
- 10 years in relevant work experience
- 3 years in Process Improvement space
- Lean/Six Sigma
- OCM Certified
- Experience in the Energy Sector
