Base Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 yr.
Commission: 2% on Equipment Selling Price
Products: Dump Trucks, Snow Plow Equipment/Trucks, Sanders, etc.

Job Description
As a Municipal Equipment Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our municipal equipment business by generating new sales, maintaining customer relationships, and promoting our products to local governments, municipalities, and public agencies. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions to improve their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development & Prospecting:
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the municipal and public sector markets.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, trends, and competition.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key decision-makers.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
- Assist clients in selecting the appropriate equipment for their needs, offering technical support when required.
- Sales Presentations & Negotiations:
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and site visits to potential clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to secure sales while ensuring profitability.
- Collaborate with the internal team to tailor equipment packages that best meet customer needs.
- Product Knowledge & Training:
- Stay up to date with the latest municipal equipment products, industry trends, and technology.
- Educate clients on the features, benefits, and specifications of the equipment we offer.
- Sales Reporting & Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates to management on sales progress and goals.
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven sales experience, preferably in municipal equipment, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of the municipal equipment market and understanding of public sector procurement processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed.
- Ability to travel locally to meet with clients and attend trade shows or events as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with local government agencies or public sector organizations.
- Knowledge of public sector bidding and procurement processes.
- Technical aptitude with an understanding of municipal equipment and machinery.
- CDL license (not required, but preferred)
