What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at AmTrim?
Job Summary:
Under the guidance of the HR Manager, provides fundamental HR services to assigned operation including, but not limited to, coordinating hourly employment, utilizing employer of choice policies and procedures, coordinating facility employee relations activities, and supporting personnel needs as requested by operations. Designs and administers human resources policies, procedures and programs relating to various phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties at assigned facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads effective employee relations and communications programs and executes company policies/procedures fairly and consistently to foster positive attitudes and promote employee understanding and support of company strategies.
- Coach and counsel managers and employees on work-related issues and in effective use of strategies to resolve differences.
- Conducts hiring process from start to finish, including but not limited to posting opportunities, recruiting, screening, background checks, and orientation / onboarding. Confers with plant leadership on staffing needs.
- Champion company values to support the engagement of all employees.
- Partners with plant leadership on employee engagement activities.
- Encourages and supports the development of employees, through training, career pathing and the apprenticeship program.
- Applies understanding and works within HRIS system to maintain all paper and electronic records.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in HR related curriculum or equivalent 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and peripheral vision.
When in production areas, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn including but not limited to: eyes, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required.
