What are the hours and pay?
3rd Shift - 7:55PM-6AM Sunday-Thursday, plus overtime as needed (hours may vary based on production need)
- Base Pay $24.50 per hour and up depending on experience. Plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.
What is the job?
Responsible for new construction, repair, and maintain of all interior, exterior walls, floors, ceiling, roofs, doors and overhead garage doors and operators. Assist in installations, repairs and perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate lift trucks, Tugger, Floor Scrubber and bobcat.
- Install, troubleshoot and/or repair basic electrical equipment.
- Interpret basic blueprints or other specifications for electrical, pneumatics, mechanical and plumbing applications.
- Install and repair fire lines and other types of plumbing.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks throughout the facility.
- Conduct waste water operations as needed.
- Use safe practices in repairing, checking equipment using tag-out procedures.
- Comply with all safety and housekeeping standards - Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Equipment Safety Analysis (ESA) and Area Safety Analysis (ASA)
- Communicate to co-workers and supervisors—developments, needs etc. as they occur.
- Operate drills, grinders, mills, press and/or other machine tools to fabricate, modify, and/or repair machinery and/or make mechanical parts or pieces as needed.
- Clean and lubricate equipment per maintenance schedule.
- Ensure that job is run in environmental compliance after instruction from supervisor/environmental group.
- Perform routine housekeeping in work area(s) as necessary.
- May require off-site work assignments at various American Trim facilities and/or may require occasional trips to suppliers for parts pick up.
- Other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to the job?
- 5 years in industrial maintenance experience
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Blueprint reading abilities for electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and plumbing systems as well as engineering drawings (i.e., facility layout)
- Ability to use a variety of precise measuring instruments such as tape measure, micrometer, calipers, voltmeter and amp probe.
- Oral and written communication skills

- Repeated lifting, packing of items (3 to 6 lbs.).

- Must work as part of a work team.
- Requires standing, walking and/or moving about for time periods in excess of one (1) hour.
- Requires some sort of repetitive turning and/or lifting motions to be performed.
- Work overtime as needed
- Work with pressure of meeting schedules, personnel issues, changing priorities.
- Basic computer/PC knowledge/skills preferred.
- Work with all levels of employees.
- Perform position requirements while wearing eye, foot and/or other protective devices as required.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn including but not limited to: eyes, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required.
