The candidates will have previous title agency, title insurance company or law firm experience, possess strong customer service and analytical skills, be a motivated self-starter, and enjoy working as part of a team
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews and evaluates title searches and insurance risk factors
- Read abstracts of title, analyze potential title defects and prepare title reports
- Responsible for evaluating risk and exposures to determine acceptability of business
- Communicate underwriting requirements to buyers, sellers and lenders on real estate transactions
- Determines premiums, terms and conditions based established rules, rates, and guidelines
- Analyze financial conditions of the insured organization or past claim experience
- Ability to attend closings to accept title documents
- Experience with local real estate closing procedures, reading and understanding closing disclosures, bank and title documents.
- Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information, meet deadlines and produce high quality work products.
Qualifications and Experience
- 7 years’ experience in New York title insurance business. Previous title agency or law office experience required.
- Notary public is ideal (not required)
The salary range for this role is $220K - $325K per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
