Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bridge Foreman to join our construction team in San Antonio, TX. The Bridge Foreman will oversee and manage all aspects of bridge construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical expertise in heavy civil construction, specifically bridge projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage day-to-day bridge construction operations, including scheduling, workforce management, and resource allocation.
- Safety Management: Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a crew of construction workers, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Technical Expertise: Interpret and execute blueprints, drawings, and specifications related to bridge construction.
- Equipment Management: Coordinate the use and maintenance of heavy equipment, tools, and materials on-site.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any challenges or issues that arise during construction.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Superintendent, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress, and material usage.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role on bridge construction projects.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in construction management or related fields preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Any relevant certifications in heavy equipment operation or construction safety are a plus.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as required.
- Travel: Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to job sites within the San Antonio area.

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,400.00 per week
