Job functions include:
- Growth of the division including employee recruitment and retention to meet business plan needs.
- Directly supervise and coordinate activities of approximately 8 utility foremen/crews.
- Plan and schedule resources including work forces, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure materials are ordered in a timely fashion and inventoried upon receipt.
- Ensure workmanship of the highest quality and efficiency.
- Ensure employee satisfaction including a culture of teamwork and effective communication.
- Coordination of teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities.
- Assist estimating teams and executive leadership in estimating and backlog management.
- Review daily Job reports including diaries, quantities, cost codes and equipment.
- Attend weekly specific Job Teams Meetings to offer input on all aspects of the ongoing or future utility work for the specific job. Maximize cooperation with the Job Superintendent to meet the specific demand for utility installation.
- Identify potential problems very early and provide solutions to maximize efficiency and project revenue.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. * Develop and maintain relationships with Owners, Engineers, and Inspectors.
- Identifying opportunities to expand or shift courses to take advantage of changes in the market.
- Manage corporate safety requirements for the division.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of underground utility experience.
- High school diploma and/or bachelor’s degree in construction, civil engineering, or related degree.
- Bilingual communication skills are preferred.
- OSHA 30-hour training.
- Competent person training for trench safety applications.
- Competent person training for confined space applications.
- First aid and CPR training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
