What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Amundson Group?
An amazing opportunity in Rock Hill South Carolina for an experienced Estimator to join a team of professionals. The ideal candidate would be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. Previous experience in heavy civil construction or site development is preferred. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with an outstanding benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
- Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
- Understand scope of work, take-off and quantify, and prepare estimates to bid heavy civil projects.
- Contact and manage bid pricing from material suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely completion of estimates.
Skills
- 3 years’ experience in construction estimating.
- Able to read civil plans and develop cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of construction processes.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
- Impeccable problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Education
- AAS in Construction Engineering Technology (or similar), BS in Construction Science, BS in Civil Engineering or related field (degree not needed)
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
