- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other tools for estimating purposes
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
- Visit construction sites to gather information for accurate estimates
Experience
Required:
- Proven experience in construction estimating
- Knowledge of construction management principles
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong negotiation skills
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Experience in contract negotiation
- Background in construction site visits
