Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe Foreman to oversee and manage piping projects in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipe installation, maintenance, and project management. As a Pipe Foreman, you will supervise a team of pipefitters, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of pipefitters, ensuring they follow all safety protocols and maintain high work standards.
- Coordinate daily tasks and schedules to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems for various types of construction and industrial projects.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.
- Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, other team members, and clients to ensure the successful execution of each project.
- Provide training and mentorship to new and existing team members.
- Ensure that all work complies with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
- Document and report daily work activities, including hours worked, material usage, and project status.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing and piping industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation, and repair methods.
- Proven experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Must be able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in plumbing and piping preferred.
