Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct a crew in the installation of underground water, sewer, and storm drain pipelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications.
- Ensure proper pipe laying procedures, alignment, and grade per project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to ensure compliance with regulations and project timelines.
- Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and trenchers when necessary.
- Maintain a safe work environment, enforcing OSHA and company safety policies.
- Train and mentor crew members to improve efficiency and performance.
- Track materials, equipment, and labor to ensure projects stay within budget.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in underground utility installation, specifically water, sewer, and storm drainage.
- 2 years of experience in a foreman or leadership role.
- Ability to read and understand civil construction plans and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of pipe laying methods, trench safety, and dewatering techniques.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
