Job Title: Pipe Foreman
Location: Polk County, Florida
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to join our team in Tampa, Florida. The Pipe Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the pipe installation team. The role requires a hands-on approach to ensure all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of pipe fitters, laborers, and subcontractors on construction projects.
- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Ensure that all pipe installation work is completed in accordance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine the layout and installation procedures.
- Manage daily job site activities, including setting work priorities, scheduling, and delegating tasks to team members.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets company standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and other team members to provide updates on project progress.
- Ensure proper inventory of materials, tools, and equipment needed for pipe installation projects.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process and find solutions in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in plumbing or pipefitting preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in pipe installation, with 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, installation techniques, and relevant safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Experience with various types of piping systems (e.g., PVC, copper, steel, cast iron).
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in pipefitting or plumbing.
- Experience in commercial and industrial projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
