Amuneal Manufacturing is seeking a Wood Sander to join our fast-paced, dedicated, and extremely talented team. Candidates should have a experience with using hand tools and working in a collaborative environment. They will be responsible for performing set-up and production operations on projects of a wide variety, while maintaining standards for safety & quality. This role will operate on a 4 day, 10 hour work week of 6:30AM-5:00PM Monday-Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Operation of various handheld wood sanding and surface preparation tools for extended periods.
- Hand application of stains and oil based finishes.
- Monitoring of product quality and ability perform minor surface repairs.
- Collaborate closely with the spray booth team and the fabrication team in order to ensure the highest quality product and to meet project deadlines.
- Work safely by adhering to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with wood surface preparation tools, including random orbital sanders and scrapers.
- Strong understanding of different types of abrasives and the ability to achieve a finish-ready surface.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify imperfections and take corrective actions effectively.
- Hands-on experience applying finishes such as stains, waxes, and oils to wood surfaces.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent attendance.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wood fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of spray finishing processes and equipment.
