The Asset Remarketing Specialist is responsible for maximizing aggregate equipment sales proceeds from Amur’s inventory, combining speed of execution with accurate valuation and placement decisions as well as careful channel and agent performance management. Key responsibilities include: (1) leading all equipment remarketing and resale efforts across all channels (internal, Vendor, third-party) from end-of-lease events as well as voluntary surrenders; (2) performing research on equipment valuation and trends; and (3) tracking, organizing and reporting on data and information on sale activity, backlog, realized values and channel performance.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Asset Remarketing
- Manage the remarketing and resale process for all end-of-lease equipment, such as FMV extension, purchase option exercise or return.
- Manage the recovery, storage, placement, remarketing and resale of all equipment under voluntary repossession events for defaulted contracts, leveraging all sales channels available.
- Maximize proceeds from remarketing equipment once an accurate condition-specific valuation is determined.
- Develop and manage AmurEF’s network of asset inspectors, appraisers and remarketers, ensuring that all remarketing contract terms are aligned with AmurEF’s objectives.
- Work with vendors to review/approve repairs or other equipment improvements to improve speed of sale and maximize sale price.
- Review external appraisals and opinions of value and determine their accuracy and validity.
- Follow commercially reasonable sale process at all times.
Reporting & Research
- Track all equipment in AmurEF’s possession to ensure it status, condition and expected realizable value is accurately reported.
- Track remarketing agent performance through KPIs and manage asset allocation decisions and relationship accordingly.
- Follow-up on assets that have not sold in the expected timeframe or for the expected amounts.
- Maintain internal asset value recovery models (e.g., forecast vs. realized recoveries).
- Research equipment and industry trends and valuations across all of AmurEF asset classes.
Customer Service
- Delivers timely, accurate information externally to asset remarketers to facilitate the sale process.
- Co-operate effectively internally and with other Departments (i.e., Collections, Legal, Finance, Credit and Originations) to ensure process efficiency and information sharing.

Education and Training Guidelines
- Relevant equipment financing, operations or management experience preferred, but at a minimum clear passion for equipment and enthusiasm for working in the equipment finance industry.
- Professional Certifications a plus.
