The Supervisor – Asset Management will be responsible for the more complex equipment management functions and processes involved in end-of-lease or defaulted transactions, with a significant emphasis on: (1) developing and managing relationships with asset remarketers and appraisers; (2) overseeing and enhancing AmurEF’s internal equipment return, repossession and remarketing process; (3) formally and informally mentoring and training the Department’s personnel; (4) performing research on equipment valuation and industry trends; and (5) analyzing and acting on data and information on AmurEF’s asset management activities. Over time, the Supervisor position will also include direct staff management responsibilities, such as monitoring employee attendance, keeping Management updated on the day-to-day happenings in the Department and tracking personnel KPIs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Asset Recovery and Remarketing 50%
- Manage end-of-lease process involving assets, such as FMV extension, purchase option exercise or return of equipment.
- Manage equipment repossession in terminated or defaulted accounts.
- Maximize proceeds from remarketing recovered equipment currently in AmurEF’s inventory once value is determined and photos/inspection reports are completed.
- Develop and manage AmurEF’s network of asset inspectors, appraisers, remarketing and repossession specialists (contract negotiation, performance evaluation, process oversight, etc.).
- Arrange site inspections on equipment to be recovered; review equipment condition and determine cost/benefit of removal and repossession.
- Review external appraisals and opinions of value and determine their accuracy and validity.
- Review and monitor all title activities.
- Follow commercially reasonable sale process at all times.
Supervision and Training 30%
- Supervise and train existing and new staff on all processes and tools utilized by the Department.
- Ensure that the Department staff effectively balances recovery timeframes and recovery amounts.
- Resolve as many situations as possible with the relevant Department member to seek an immediate resolution, otherwise escalating as appropriate.
- Ensure the entire Asset Management team remains up to date on market trends and asset knowledge.
- Assist in developing department policies and procedures.
Reporting & Research 20%
- Track equipment inventory and sale proceeds.
- Effectively use and leverage AmurEF’s IT system capabilities and applications (BIDW, LARS, Salesforce, MS Office, etc.)
- Research equipment and industry trends and valuations across all asset classes financed by AmurEF.
Education and Training Guidelines
- At least five years of relevant equipment financing, operations and/or management experience preferred
- Professional Certifications a plus

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities for a pool of employees and will serve as trainer and mentor for new and existing hires. Also interviews and hires staff, approves time cards, evaluates performance of employees and conducts yearly review or any necessary disciplinary action including terminations.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers/scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. May require training in new software systems or learning upgraded software programs.
Physical Demands

The employee is required to talk or hear; may be necessary to stand, walk, handle, or reach with hands or arms. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required, calling for the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
